The new Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 perpetual model has important changes to be aware of. Here are a few important tips:
- If the original purchase date of Microsoft Dynamics GP is before October 1, 2012, there is no charge to move to the new model.
- If the original purchase date is after Oct 1, then it's not likely there would be a cost. They get investment credit, so depending on what they need for GP 2013 the credit would apply.
- Customers need to talk to their partner and have them place an order to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013.
- Any list price reduction after July 11, 2012 prevents a customer from going to Perpetual, but there are a few choices. They can increase their list price back to the price at July 11 or they can purchase other licenses to bring the list price up.
