Hi Folks,
Today I gonna present you a live tv app called Zattoo. I think many of you already know Zattoo from ist web Player but now they also have an app for Windows 8.
What is Zattoo? Zattoo is a live tv Player that works in web browser, on mobile phones and now on Windows 8 with an app. You have a huge list of tv channels and can see them over an Internet Connection. The app is for free, all you Need is a Zattoo account but this is for free too.
With this app you can do following:
- A list of 118 different channels (I counted them for Switzerland), including the name of the current and the following program
- Some channels you receive in Switzerland are: SF1, SF2, ZDF, Das Erste, MTV Schweiz, joiz, TF1, DMAX, M6, TSR1, Sport1, BBC, ITV, ORF, France 2,...
- Cause of licensing reasons the channels you receive vary in each country
- Watch a broadcast with a channel bar on the left side
- Watch a broadcast in full screen mode
- The app recognizes the Speed of you Internet Connection and automatically adapts the Quality
You have following categories (alphabetic order):
- General Interest
- English
- Erotic
- French
- Italian
- Music TV
- News
- Regional Channels
- Spanish
- Special Interest
- Sports
Below you can finde some impressions:
My conclusion: The app works fine and the quality is good. Also the number of channels is impressive. The only negative point I see so far is the channel list. The categories are fix in an alphabetical order no other sorting seems to be implemented so far. Also an individual list would be nice where you can put your favorites in an order you like (as you can do on wilmaa.com). But it’s a nice app when you don’t have a TV around :-)
For more information visit the official site, where you also find the link to download this app from the Windows Store. The website for this product is http://zattoo.com.
