Experiencing Data access issue in Azure Portal for Many Data Types – 10/03 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal with no customer impact as of 10/03, 19:40 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/03, 19:20 UTC and that during the 20 min that it took to resolve the issue ~10% of customers experienced data access in EUS region.
  • Root CauseThe failure was due to an issue in one of our dependent backend platform services.
  • Incident Timeline: 20 mins - 10/03, 19:20 UTC through 10/03, 19:40 UTC

We understand that customers rely on Application Insights as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
