Experiencing Data Access Issue in Azure and OMS portal for Log Analytics – 10/05 – Resolved

We've confirmed that all systems are back to normal as of 10/05, 19:35 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on 10/05, 18:00 UTC and that during the 1 hours, 35 mins that it took to resolve the issue approximatrly 55% of WEU customers experienced data access while querying log analytics data from Azure and OMS portal. Also, these impacted customers would have experienced latent alerts.
  • Root Cause: The failure was due to one of the issues with backend services as part of data access pipeline.
  • Incident Timeline: 1 Hours & 35 minutes - 10/05, 18:00 UTC through 10/05, 19:35 UTC.

We understand that customers rely on Azure Log Analytics as a critical service and apologize for any impact this incident caused.
